Ivy used to be sure of who she wanted to become, but the closer graduation looms, the less certain she is about the ambition her life has been building up to.

Wren struggles to hold his family together. His father has been despondent since the death of Wren's mother ten years ago. The only connection he still has with her is his magic, which he struggles to control.

Meredith's burden is the heaviest of all: she's preparing to be the next queen of the elves, and she's finding it more difficult than she expected to navigate the torrent of rules and traditions that accompanies the role.

Drawing nearer is the Rite of Passage, a month-long period where the elves must face the wilds of the forest, and their last challenge before they can be accepted into the elven society. It only complicates things when a sarcastic, arrogant dragonet crashes into their lives, forcing the three to use their unique skills to survive a dangerous journey to return the dragonet to her homeland.

The Chronicles of Starlyn by CraigAPrice
27 parts Complete
Elves are immortal, except death by battle or poison. Yet, despite that fact, Starlyn’s mother is dying, and nobody knows why. Starlyn loves her mother and desperately searches for any way to help her, yet it seems there is little she can do but sit and watch. Even the elven healers and herbalists are stunned and cannot find a way. Other elves turn away from her aid, afraid of a weakness –an illness- in her bloodline, and would rather her mother die than taint the other elves with her weakness. Starlyn’s sister, Arria, refuses to sit and watch as their mother dies and takes more drastic measures to try and save their mother. She dives into the restricted books in the elven library about dark magic. Dark magic has been forbidden for the elves because it is said that even the willpower of an elf cannot prevail against the touch of a dark taint. Arria is no longer concerned of her own welfare and dives heavily into her studies. Strange things begin to happen, and Starlyn ends up learning of her sister’s studies in the dark magic and is forced to confront her. The elven law states that if you begin in the art of forbidden magic that you are forever an outcast from the elven order. Starlyn wishes to reason with her sister that dark magic is not the way. Her love for both her mother and sister leave her torn to either save her mother or her sister, and if at all possible to save them both. However, if she doesn’t make the right choice, it may condemn both of them to death, and leave Starlyn without family, which is the very thing she treasures the most.

~The Elves lost their Magic. The Princess is a Dragon. The Halfling is a Shifter. And Witches rule the Realm.~ [AMBY'S 2024 TOP PICK!] Liss' clan lives in a world of seclusion. The Darkbane elves believe it is their penance to spend eternity in Cradelow Valley as divine punishment for forgotten crimes committed by their ancestors. With their numbers dwindling and their magic lost, the Council makes a drastic decree to ensure the survival of the clan. But Liss has plans to escape, along with her best friend Dev. Her goal? Find a spark of magic. If she can do that much, she can prove the goddess hasn't forsaken them and change the fate of her people. ✨ Zan is a changeling and bastard prince of the Yansu, a reclusive dragon-elf clan. He's spent the last decade trying to free his sister from the witches who kidnapped her and stole her magic. Unfortunately, no one believes the crown princess lives, least of all his queen mother. Now the lands ravaged by the witches are stirring to life, amid rumors of the Darkbane's return. If there is any truth to these rumors, Zan will be the first to find out. If the Darkbane elves return, surely they'll depose the witches and set his sister free. Either way, he'll rescue the dragon princess one day or die trying. 🐉 (First draft completed 5/13/24)
