Alexandria Loore is a witch from America. Transferring to her third year to a new school across the country called Hogwarts, she doesn't know what to expect.

She doesn't know what to expect when moving to her new school, but this certainly was not it.

Ilvermorny was my home for four years before we moved here, to England. Our song, we sang everyday, that we all knew by heart spoke the truth. It was our one true home. Ilvermorny was my home, where my friends and I had adventures, pranked, got in trouble, and cried. It was somewhere we loved, and now, I'm thousands of miles away, away from where I want to be most. They're ripping me from my desires and happiness.

I learned about another wizard in school, in Scotland. It was called Hogwarts. It seemed nice, but I knew I'd never call it home.

Now, I was standing in front of the train that took me to this supposed Hogwarts. As I looked, I saw first years looking in awe at the big scarlet train, but all I felt was sadness, loneliness. I knew no one, I was heading somewhere I knew nothing about,moving to a new school was uncommon, no one really wants to move after they've found their home.

I should know that.
