At age five she was diagnosed with ADHD and her life hasn't been the same since. Letting her feelings out by playing her guitar, writing songs, and getting behind the camera for auditions whenever she has the chance, we see how hard it can be for somebody with a disability to go through high school. And, she's also crushing on Chase Manning who just happens to be the captain of the JV basketball team that her dad is coaching. Due to having a terrible memory, Aiden decided to write in journals about his daily struggles, his longing for a better life, and breakthroughs that he accomplishes throughout the story. Aiden loves to sing and Write his own music. He is good at the piano but his love is the old guitar that his Gramps gave him years ago. Aiden has one younger brother named Caleb, which is the normal typical annoying brother. Aiden has a girlfriend named Tessa who lives about an hour away from him who he longs to marry. Throughout the story, Aiden struggles to move on through each day, as days turn into night and night into day, he finds himself growing colder towards his father. Who is the towns hero practically. everybody loves the star football coach, Josh Phillips. Things aren't what they seem behind doors though, their father tends to be abusive. Verbal and physical. Aiden can choose to live with his mom but chooses not to because he wants to protect his brother who can't choose yet. As Aiden dives deeper into his fathers unknown past, he uncovers more and more details about his father's past. As he continues to dive deeper, the tension grows heavier. Through out the story, Aiden finds himself digging through old journals, trying to remember certain things. Can Aiden solve the mystery of his father's behavior and show the world the true nature of his father or will he choose to shrink down to nothing and continue to struggle?Complete

The Rosewood Mirage was built as a symbol of lavish lifestyles and the achievements of mankind. A hotel of this altitude could never be just a simple destination. You didn't even want to go to the Rosewood Mirage. Not at all. Especially not for your stupid sister's stupid engagement party to her stupid fiance. Of course it would end in disaster. After an avalanche makes leaving the hotel impossible and a body is discovered, you're stuck with hundreds of people living in fear, waiting for either rescue teams or the murderer. Its okay, though. Because you met Aldric, the nice trans guy living in the boiler rooms. He became the one person you could genuinely trust in the whole hotel. With your mother constantly breathing down your neck, your father crumbling at any pressure, your psychopathic sister demanding the perfect wedding, and your ex best friend lusting for the last person you'd ever guess, you just didn't know if you'd make it out or the Rosewood Mirage alive. ***** Inspired by The Sanatorium by Sarah Pearse.
