The disdain for rogue werewolves had grown to unprecedented levels in the following years after the Lunar Civil War. Ancient Packs, especially those who composed the Lunar Council, treated these packless mutts as lower class citizens. Scum that should never be trusted again. 

Nitengale Diebold had grown up under these prejudices. Figuring out a way to survive in a world that wouldn't blink twice if she ended up dead on the side of the road. Persephone Reed is often referred to by her friends as the 'Princess of Ancient Pack Reed'. The only daughter to the Pack Alpha. Blessed by the Moon Goddess to have grown up in a strong and close pack. The closest thing she's ever had to as sister is Ophelia Reed, the daughter of the Pack Beta and Persephone's cousin. 

What binds these two unlikely souls together is Ophelia Reed, or was Ophelia Reed. Ophelia and her mate, Oliver Stone, became fast friends with Nite. The mated pair showing the rogue that there was more to life than surviving - that you could live and love like the Moon Goddess above intended. 

All that's left now of the late Ophelia is her son, August Reed.
