A pegasus named Diamond, and an earth pony named NightMare, have been at war for centuries. NightMare desperately tries to take over Sunset Valley, while her sister Diamond stops her. Diamond's injury during a battle with her sister now has her fighting for her sanity, while NightMare's parasite has gotten weaker. Will Diamond be able to fight off the Parasite that is now inside her, or will she destroy everything and everyone she loves? Will NightMare be able to finally break free from her corruption, or will she be stuck with it forever?

Also, please keep in mind that while I do try to write the characters canon to the show as accurately as I can, I try to write them with a bit more sincerity, as if they're people instead of cartoon ponies. Then again, take my attempt at a more realistic portrayal of the characters with a grain of salt. I'm still an amateur writer after all, so whether or not the characters do actually act like more realistic versions of the characters from the show is up to you to judge. All non-original characters, locations and concepts (eg, Fluttershy, Equestria, Elements of Harmony) belong to Hasbro.Complete
