A book of Canada x Reader one shots! <3 (Most of them are songfics :D)

It contains the following stories:

1.) Thinking Out Loud

Just a simple day spent with your boyfriend, Matthew Williams. It doesn't actually contain much dialogue spoken out, but I think the quietness between loved ones can be really precious. Even if you aren't talking much, just being with each other....with that comfortable silence between you...it makes you feel so at home...It makes you realise that you two found love right where you were.

It's sort of a songfic to Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud"~

2.) Marry Me

Love is such a mysterious thing.
It can make people's hearts skip a beat in an instant.
It can make you feel completely nervous and unusually giddy.
It can make you fall so hard that you'd want to marry someone you know you love...

...even if you haven't talked to that person yet.

This one shot tells the story of a shy Canadian who goes to this warm cafe for its ambiance, coziness...and a certain (h/c) haired girl who works there and makes his heart flutter.

...Little did he know that the girl felt the same.

But Matthew Williams is a very timid person, who can't even get the nerve to say a simple "hello"...how much more will it take for him to ask for her name...her number...and her love?

Read to find out!

It is based on Train's song "Marry Me"~

Sydney didn't have much, but that was fine with her. She didn't need much. Growing up on the Washington coast in a lonely beach town, working quietly behind the scenes was what she was good at. Living on the beach was much less glamorous than most people imagine. Her home was a beat up old Winnebago that she had shared with her father until he passed. Her father had been a detached parent. He loved his daughter of course, but he was by no means an affectionate man. She had grown up fending for herself, working backstage at a bar that hosted live bands using a fake ID. After the death of her father she saw an ad for a guitar technician for a local Seattle band. A love of rock and roll had been the one thing that her and her dad had in common. Selling everything that she didn't need she packed up her pickup truck and travelled north to the city, leaving the sleepy town in her rear view mirror. She didn't expect to embark on what would become the adventure of a lifetime. For someone who had hardly left the town she grew up in, the opportunity to get paid to travel the country and listen to great music was a dream come true. The band became her family, and life on the road was a perfect fit for her. Chris Cornell instantly became Sydney's best friend in the whole world. They were in love, that was plain as day to anyone who paid attention. Yet, sometimes love isn't as simple as it should be. Sometimes, love hurts. Warning: This book covers potentially triggering subjects such as depression, suicidal ideation, domestic abuse, sexual assault, poverty and drug use. TRIGGER WARNING: contains drug/alcohol use and NSFW content. Inspired by the movie, "Two of Us (2000)" ====================================== "You don't look different, but you have changed. I'm looking through you; you're not the same." The year is 1976 and the Beatles were a legendary band of the past. Old news, even. A distant memory that, at one point in time, took the entire world by storm. But that was years and years ago... Since, the band has gone through a pretty bitter break up. Though, memories don't fade away so easy. Paul McCartney knew that better than anyone else. Paul notices himself thinking back on old times more often than ever before. Dwelling on the unresolved problems between himself and the others... Well, the problems he has with one person in particular. John Lennon. Paul wants to repair the apparent issues left behind him with his ex-partner... his ex-lover, and it's no secret to anybody in his "new" life. One day, even his wife, Linda, suggests to Paul that he should go and visit the lad in New York City. So? What else is he to do, but... make a surprise trip? The rest of this story lies between these pages. ====================================== - Completed - Ranked #1 in the Mclennon tag and #1 in Starrison - Pretty Angsty - Disclaimer: Some quotes used in this story are paraphrased/referenced from the original "Two of Us (2000)" movie. I do not claim any references to it as my own work.

Book One of Five in the New Beginnings Series. **You do NOT have to read Inhale, Exhale, & Breathe to enjoy these stories** #1 in bxb tag: 09/21/2024 #4 in friendstolovers tag: 9/21/2024 CYRUS PIERCE: I'm content in my almost soundless world. I prefer to live through the romance stories I weave and post online. Hardly anyone reads my books, even if they're free, but I do have one fan, and he's supported me since I started writing two years ago. Except, my writing started to take a depressing dive when I realized that you simply couldn't prevent nor protect your heart from falling for someone. For him. For the one who had no interest in me. When I fell in love with him, I thought we had a chance. It was an accident. Turned out, I couldn't be more wrong. He doesn't want me, and I wasn't supposed to have him. It didn't matter if he showed up in the bookstore every day, talking to everyone else except me. Nor did it matter at all because he didn't know sign language. He couldn't learn. We couldn't communicate. But after I go on a date and it ends in putrid disaster, he makes his appearance known, and he's angry. Then he's doing things for me that confuse me. My stories are filling up with pages of content, dreams that I want to come true, and my mystery commenter encourages me to continue-to reach my happiness. To take what I want. But the activities planned start sparking familiarity-like I lived it before, or maybe dreamed it. Or maybe, just maybe, I'd written it before? My mind is spiraling, but I can't stop myself from getting closer and closer to him. I'm not supposed to have him, but my heart craves him. Sage Monroe, I'm in love with you, and I'm scared now because I have a feeling that you've been communicating with me in more ways than one.

For Whenever I May Find Her

20 parts Complete Mature

'Is that how a moth feels as it flies to the fire? She'll burn your wings, honey. Your heart will dry. Don't come any closer.' - Catherine * * * Sometimes, love at first sight wouldn't happen and no one could definitely get it right the first time. Sometimes, your first love wouldn't necessarily be your last. Then of course, in real life games, cheat codes and, ultimately, cheaters existed. Unfair? That's life. It wouldn't stop at having the one you love and marrying wasn't the happy ending but the signal of another book starting. Far from the end. New chapters. Variety of troubles that popped at every turn. Not all rainbows and butterflies. Still, with the one you love. 'And if there's love, you can do without happiness too. Even with sorrow, life is sweet.' Dostoevsky must have been on to something when he cooked that quotable quote up. However, the kind of love some were conditioned and aspired for wasn't that enduring. If it's not perfect then it's not worth fighting for. But... 'You're in love' so what's a little rain or occasional unforecasted storms here and there? Love triumphs after all. © All rights reserved
