In the bright year of 1918, Luz Noceda works as a slave to a farmer. Having been disguised as a eunuch man her whole life, she had been tossed around in the dirt. But it was better this way anyways...When World War l blows around, her master is quick to enlist her in the army to get rid of her.
At the same time, as World War l comes hitting down, Amity Blight realizes it is a life or death situation. Her father, age 53, with a bad knee, and half-blind is required to take part in the war. Being the good daughter she is, at the ripe age of 17, she enlists herself under her father's name.
Will these two brave souls make it out alive? Or will they go down fighting for some things they wouldn't expect a war to bring up?
There will be trigger warnings at the beginnings of chapters!! It is only violence and gore because it tis' a war!

A Change For The Better (Human AU)
Luz Noceda was a troublemaker for sure. The Hispanic girl always got into fights with people over stupid things. It didn't help that she was failing all her classes except Physical Education. The girl was on her way to the principal's office to find out her punishment for getting involved in another fight when something crazy happened. Luz was going to be sent to another school! Not only was this school a boarding school, but it was also Hexside the most famous school in Connecticut. Luz tries to convince her mom to opt out of it, but her mom agrees with the principal's decision. Luz is forced to pack and leave two days before the second semester and live with her Mom's friend, Eda. On the way, she meets a few people and a minty-haired devil standing before her eyes. She finds herself intrigued by the girl and tries to get closer to her. Will Luz find friends and adjust to her new life at Hexside? Will she get close to the minty-haired girl? At 17 years old Luz decided to run from home she manage to go between realms and ended up on the Boiling Isles. When she decides to stay and help Eda, the most wanted witch on the Boiling Isles, her life turns upside down. She has to deal with various threats, from the deadly environment, and tyrannical government, to her own demons. After a few months, she finally managed to more or less stabilize her life, no matter the outside threats but everything changed as a new foe appeared in her life. How will she deal with the new problem? Will fighting your way through be enough?
