The real Lyra was just a puppet to Naruku because she grew up as a fragile and naive young woman who wanted nothing more but to be love without thinking she made a deal with her family being it the cause of her death.

But now she is a different person she will change the future and she won't be a puppet to any one she will live her life the way she wanted to live it that way and no one will stop her as she will master this live.
