Brina and her pony Bug are the closest they've ever been and everything has never gone better. But when Brina's coach Beth introduces her to the Cobbs, her whole life gets turned upside down. Being given the chance to work with a near feral Friesian mare named Hariette, Brina can't wait for the challenge she will bring and the potential she holds. With the help of her maybe boyfriend Dean, Brina's life once again seems to be clicking into place. Disaster strikes, leaving Brina in such pain and misery she vows never to look at a horse again. After months of coaxing, Beth and Dean are able to get Brina back to the barn and hopefully back into the swing of horses. Brina however isn't ready to love again, the pain still burns to clearly in her heart. One Spring day after a chance encounter, Brina discovers the spirit of her dear black horse watching over her in the form of the barn swallows. Coupled with one final surprsie effort from Dean, and a few friends, they seem to be on the edge of restoring Brina's love in horses. But will it be enough?
