Three days, two perfect strangers and one missing cat. To Nora and Ali, it's their situation but to anyone else who knows the pair, it's a recipe for disaster.

***
Nora and Ali do not know one another. In fact, their exchanges had been minimal until one day Ali entered the local halal chicken takeaway, demanding Nora's attention. And her help.

Billy the Cat is missing, and Nora was the last person to have seen him, having welcomed him to the local pet shop hotel. Only, what Ali does not know is that Billy isn't missing, he has been sold.

Having lost her job as a result of the situation, Nora chooses to take advantage, and offers Ali her assistance. Only, she doesn't have any knowledge or expertise on the matter, and really, just wants to put this situation behind her.

Forced on a journey to Scotland, Ali and Nora have no choice but to work together to find Billy...and quite possibly steal him back.

With clashing personalities and three days on the road, will these two strangers be able to find Billy? And along the way, perhaps even find themselves?

"Do you ever give being insufferable a rest? Don't you get tired of annoying me and then acting smug about it?" Mitchell annoyed asked the infuriating girl sitting across him. "Why do you always find a fault with everything I say or do? Could it be that I'm the first girl that isn't flustered around the infamous Mitchell Clarke?" Mila raised a brow. Mitchell, once again annoyed with the girl who's been taunting and teasing him for way too long abruptly stood up from his chair and made his way across the table to where she was seated, he placed one hand on the table and the other on the headrest of her chair and hovered over her, his face a mere centimeter away from hers. "Ooh turn on the air-conditioner things are about to get H.O.T - hot." Mila remarked as she fanned herself. "Don't act invincible, I see you when I'm not looking, you're dying for me." He whispered Mila shifted up in her seat and moved closer to him, she looked in his eyes and challenged, "If you're man enough, out that theory to the test and kiss me." Matilda Brown has never seen the world outside of the walls. Her community is relatively small, at least compared to the outside world, and yet she's still somehow an outcast. Everyone else around her has powers - ones with fire or speed or the ability to speak every language known to man - and her mother even had two! However, she's stuck with none. Will she ever get her power? Will she ever recognize the abuse from her captor Mr. Osmond and escape him? Benjamin Langley is a university student navigating the loss of his best friend, when he discovers his ability to see the future. Soon after, he's taken by force to the community, and comes to see and entire world he had no knowledge of. Meeting Matilda forces him to consider the fact that escaping quietly might not work out. Cameron Thomas doesn't remember a time when he wasn't in the community, but he's starting to. Or, at least he thinks he is? Like Matilda, he too struggles with his power, not in finding it, but rather in controlling it. Will he get it right when it matters? Oliver Hart is a charismatic veterinarian who discovers he can suddenly hear the animals thoughts. It would've been a powerful career booster if he hadn't been kidnapped and taken to the community. There, he uses his charisma to make a group of friends he'll never forget. The four must fight tooth and nail to make it out of dangerous situations and discover their own feelings along the way.
