Kyle Benjamin Howard is a British University student studying English Literature at Leeds Metropolitan University. He's a musician in his spare time and he's been single most of his life; much like his Best Friend in New Zealand, Clarke Johnathon Daniels. 

Kyle makes the trip from his home in South Yorkshire, United Kingdom to visit Clarke in Otatara in New Zealand on the outskirts of Invercargill. 

The boys have known each other since they were 15 and have been to hell and back together; Clarke helped Kyle while he was coping with depression and anxiety as a result of his bullying when he came out. The boys are falling for each other, they don't know it yet but when they first hold the other in their arms they fall for the other like they would fall to sleep - "Slowly, then all at once." - 

They've both been a form of solidarity for the other when things have become tough...
