He lacked interest in traditional governance and military campaigns, instead focusing on pushing the limit of his imperial magic authority. His constituents regarded him as out of touch, using his immense privilege to be a recluse in a velvet cell of his own creation.

Until his arch magi succeeded in creating a slipgate. Now able to move to worlds beyond our star in an instant, Soypsy mobilized in a fashion which would impress even the most militaristic leaders. Colonizing across the known aether, Soypsy plundered wealth and treasures from worlds both heavenly and horrible. It began a veritable Magicka Revolution, techniques and processes being discovered and refined and made redundant faster than most could keep up. Soypsy had single-handedly raised the ceiling of known power one could possess exponentially, and like unregulated capitalism, he started to burn faster and brighter, such as the stars which inhabit his demesne.

You are Captain Spurdo Sparde, of Your Liege's Interstellar Lauta, a cruiser which performs expeditions to document Soypsy's great domain. As Captain of the YLI Lauta, your primary task is to incorporate existing societies into the imperial hierarchy, and when needs present, dole out the will of Soypsy where applicable.
