1939 is the year. The year world war 2 began.

Harry Styles is 21, just a young man. He lives at home with his parents and his older sister, Gemma. 

Amelia Connelly is just 18. She lives at home with her huge family. Her mum, her dad, her six siblings and some of their husbands and children. 

They live in South East London, the poor side of the city. 

Harry is engaged to Emma, a 21 year old rich girl. 

Amelia hasn't ever been near a man. She couldn't fathom the idea of love, despite so many siblings and nephews and neices. 

A year into the war, Jackson, Amelia's older brother comes home for a while. He brings with him his new friend he made out in the field, Harry Styles.

Amelia and Harry's story begins and Harry soon realises his and Emma's story is coming to an end, no matter how much his parents disprove of it.
