And then, without a second thought, I was running to him and throwing my arms around him. He pulled me into his arms and the second our skin touched I was overrun with the most pleasurable tingles that I could hardly breathe for a moment. I tightened my grip on him, burying my head into his neck as I breathed in the most beautiful scent I had ever smelt. "Mine." He whispered and his voice sent electricity running through me, along with the word bringing such a warming to my heart I felt a rush of tears.

The door clicked shut behind us, sealing away the world. My back pressed against it before I had even taken a breath. His hands, warm and sure, slid to my waist, pulling me in like he had been holding himself back all day and had finally broken. The scent of him - faint cologne mixed with something darker, headier - wrapped around me. My fingers found his lapel, curling tight, grounding myself against the storm in his eyes. "You have no idea," he murmured, voice low and ragged, "how hard it was... not to touch you like this." His forehead rested against mine for a heartbeat, his breath brushing my lips, and then - the restraint snapped. His arms caged me in, pulling me flush against him, every inch of him radiating heat. My pulse tripped over itself as his thumb traced my jaw, tilting my head just enough for his mouth to hover over mine. Every second stretched, thick with the weight of everything unspoken. And then he kissed me - deep, urgent, the kind that leaves you dizzy, the kind that says you're mine without a single word.
