16 year old Jaymie Flynn is shocked, to say the least, when her mother tells her to pack her bags because she is moving out. Jaymie finds herself in the company of her best friend's boyfriend's older brother, Michael, whom had just moved back to his old apartment after dropping out of college to start a band with his mates. Things start out bad and just get worse. The two begin to think that they simply can't ever be civil toward each other when suddenly tragedy strikes and Jaymie is forced to do things she never thought possible.

She didn't know what she wanted to do in the future, but every decision she made was for her parents. William Haines was shy. He was quiet, and he hated small talk with random people he had no desire to talk to. He was a boxer, and he was a good one. He was smart, but he was mad at life, he wasn't sure exactly what he wanted to do. But maybe, if they worked together, they could learn more about themselves and help each other out along the way.
