When a strange man drops into her car and claims his name is Loki, Sunbeam "Sunny" Smith, a middle-aged human runner, begins an extraordinary adventure set in an alternate Marvel universe after the Battle of New York. 

Sunny takes "Loki" home and comes to presume that he is a con man. Meanwhile, Loki deduces that Sunny is a powerful human witch who can protect him from Midgardian justice while he tries to restore his own magic. They unravel their incorrect assumptions and misunderstandings while running for fitness and enjoyment--until an attack by two powerful Hydra agents brings them both to the attention of SHIELD. 


Loki, Odin, Phil Coulson, Clint Barton, Nick Fury, Alexander Pierce, Natasha Romanoff, Brock Rumlow, and Tony Stark are based on Marvel characters.
