Renee Cleverly works as a caretaker in a home and is determined to find where her real parents are despite the mystery that clouds the truth behind who sent her to the home. She has completely lost memory of how she came to the home and even her own identity. Mrs Julia her caretaker succeds in convincing Renee of her identity. But, Mrs Julia's reaction at the mention of her parents confirms Renee's suspicion of a secret being conceived by Mrs Julia.On her 23rd birthday, Renee embarks on a journey to finding her parents and with high hopes of getting answers as to why she is different from others. On very frequent occasions Renee doubts if she is even human at all and it only gets more obvious as she gets older. She realizes she has several 'powers' that normal people don't have. Along the way during her journey she bumps into Stefan Peterson and realizes meeting him wasn't just a mere coincidence and also happens to be the the key to the unraveling of more secrets.
