Death is inevitable, looming over many.  In the kingdom of Trenid, death is common, poverty reigning supreme over the scared general public.  Even the rich is unable to be free of it, for death claims in many ways.  Illness, assassination attempts, and simple accidents overtake many.  But perhaps death can help some in the trying times.

With a life full of tragedy, death's prescience rarely leaves Alexandra.  With her uncle dying, she can expect one decent thing in her life: his fortune.  But luck has yet to loom over her as death does, as information pertaining to who will receive the money has yet to be divulged.  

And what's worse?  There is another person up to get the fortune.  But no matter how much he insists that he will receive it, she will not let it happen.  

Luck will loom over her, she is sure of it.
