Aurora Louise Rhodes has always had bad luck when it has come to men. Her most recent boyfriend, Anthony Black, being the worse of them all. Being abused is something she has learnt to come to terms with in life, however essentially she is in denial of how bad her situation really is. Her life starts to fall away day by day, until she has become the shell of the person she once was. She has never had a reason to leave him and her fake life, until now... One night she decided to run for fear of her life and found herself having to sleep on the pavement with nothing other than her favourite silk nightgown. Her life changes by the help of a generous group of friends that save her from starvation and hyperthermia. She has to fight for her new life that she so desperately wants and to learn how to break the Toxic Cycle that is her love life. Will she ever manage to fully get away from Anthony and move on, or will she be sucked right back into her old habits of being manipulated and hidden from the world.
