"I'm such an idiot!" Castiel screamed, his eyes bloodshot and watery.

"Cas, you're not an idiot, you're drunk." Dean stood a couple meters from his friend, afraid to help him, to touch him. "Why were you drinking, anyways? It's a school night, we have a test tomorrow."

"I was trying to forget." Cas whispered, his tears spilling over the rims of his eyes. "It hurts too much, knowing they'll never return my feelings for them." He hunched over and Dean rushed to his side, patting his back as Cas heaved all over the floor.

"Jeez, Cas. I'm emailing the principle. You cannot go to school like this." Dean walked over to the staircase, about to head up, when he turned around. "Hey Cas? Who was it that you were trying to forget?"

Castiel looked up at Dean, his hair a mess, his eyes tired and sad. An answer tumbled out of his mouth before he could stop it, before he could think about the effect it would have.

"You, Dean. I was trying to forget you."
