Tony has kept you a secret to keep you safe from his enemies but has no choice to keep you close at the compound with the rest of the Avengers as terrorists have found out about you and attempted a kidnap to have leverage over Tony. 
It has become the Avengers mission to keep you safe and take down their organization. 
You grew up with Nat at your side as she trained you to fight in order to protect yourself. You get along with all the Avengers except one who thinks that protecting you is a waste of time and not his job.
