He leaned forward slightly, "But you're an Alpha."

"Not yet."

"Then take me to your Alpha."

I hopped to my feet, "Do you have any idea how dangerous that would be for you?" I yelled, "My entire pack thinks they're the last ones left! If they see you, it's going to raise hell and at that point there's no hope for you."

Once again, he tilted his head, "Who told you that?"

I sighed, "My father."

"Clearly he made that up. Let me speak to him."

"Absolutely not!" I snarled. "Can you please just find somewhere else and make this easier for everyone?"

"We can't make it any further than this and this is our best option. We've been travelling for months. The pack literally can't go any further. We're not even strong enough to hunt anymore."

I wanted to pull my fur out. Why couldn't I just do as I was told and send him off?
