"You don't have to do this." He can hear the thick Irish accent from a few feet behind him.
"You know I do." He answers without tearing his eyes away from the man in his knees in front of him, his gun pointed to the man's head.
"Harry please. We can find another way, lower the gun and we'll kill Simon together."
"No Niall." The man in front of him says as he burns his eyes into Harry's. God, he loves those eyes. "You can't kill the killer. Look at what it cost us!" The man makes a gesture towards their friends laying still as stone a few feet away on the rooftop.
Harry takes a deep breath to clear his head, but it only pushes the lump further up his throat, and he can feel the tears burning behind his eyes.
"Do it, Styles. Pull the fucking trigger." The man says, pushing his head closer to the gun.
"Don't make him do this, Louis." Niall says, now standing right behind Harry. "If he kills you, Liam and Zayn will have died for nothing!"
"He has too. It's the only way out, that's what the contract said." Louis draws his eyes back to Harry's. God Harry's eyes are beautiful. Those peering green emeralds makes him want to strike the gun out of his hands, get up and embrace him while telling him everything is going to be okay. But everything isn't going to be okay. He has to do this. A tear starts to make its way slowly down his cheek at the thought of what he's making Harry, his one true love, do for freedom. "Pull the trigger, luv, and all of our problems will be solved."
Harry closes his eyes and obeys his command. One shot is fired and everything goes dark.

"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
