Clair is back and better than ever. Ever since she left Chicago as a kid, she bounced from city to city with her mother faster than she could track. Now with her recent graduation, she can finally stop moving and settle in before she goes to college in the fall. She's home, her brothers are happy and successful, everything seems to be falling into place. Little did she know it was the calm before the storm.
Bad news soon assaults Clair like rain in a hurricane. Mateus is leaving managing the band to manage Lettie's modeling career. Jess, the band's new found designer, is leaving for Paris, and taking the band's drummer with her. Now missing a drummer, a designer, and a manager Clair is forced to pick up the pieces.
Enter Clayton Matthews. He's tattooed, dangerous, and the most talented drummer around. He's more than happy to step into the band, and into Clair's life. With tensions running high, their defenses weaken towards each other. They are each broken but they might have exactly what the other needs. Can the player and the princess fall for each other?
