It has been seven years since the demise of Alpha Man in the hands of the villain Martin Soto. Without its hero, Newport City has become home to violent crimes and hopelessness. Due to this, Elliot Soto, the grandson dubbed as the "Hero-Killer", has always endured the hatred and resentment from the city causing him to be a loner that has no trust in anyone but himself.

This all changes when he meets Max, who dreams of being a superhero one day. After a shaky start, the two join forces to bring a new hero to Newport City. However, they must face against dangerous criminals, the notorious Cobra gang, super-villains with an array of abilities, and even other heroes, all while maintaining their identity as normal high school students.
