Well, when you're outcasts, thieves, runaways, and social undesirables, that may not always be the case.

This is especially true for this particular not-so-merry band of ragtag individuals, who soon find that they got much more than they bargained for when what was supposed to be the simple task of teaching a young man to be an adventurer turns into a life-or-death gamble at nearly every turn, and they are forced to face the harsh reality of what adventuring really means. As they explore on, they realize that someone, or something, has been pulling the strings all along, and they may no longer know who to trust.
