A young Sergeant, who had no choice in whether he fought or stayed home, does his best to make the most of his situation and all that happens. 

A young waitress gets more than she bargained for when she joins to help those who are wounded and near dying. 

Four lives are forever changed as they try to hold the light in the darkest of times.
