"Sean Henderson, please stand for your sentence," the woman told me. She didn't sound like she even cared whether I lived or died. She looked at me, as I stood, with uncaring eyes, as if she had seen too many people like me and had so many other, more important things to do rather than deal with a little case like mine.
If she didn't care so much, though, she should have just freed me.
"You have been charged for twenty-three counts of petty theft. Normally, you would be put in a normal prison to live out a sentence of five years," she sighed and sifted through her paperwork. "However, it seems like the Rehabilitation Center for the Misguided has taken an interest in you."
"What's that?"
"The Rehabilitation Center for Misguided takes males from age 18-25 and rehabilitates them into civilized people using Bondage and Discipline, Dominance and Submission, and Sadism and Masochism. If you decide to choose to be with them, your sentence will be cut in half, and you will only be in the rehabilitation center for two and a half years."
Two and a half years versus five? I didn't even know what she was talking about, but whatever it was had to be better than five years in prison.
"I'll do that then," I said.
"Pfft," one of the guards next to me smirked. "Have fun finding your Daddy."
