When the Earth's population grows close to a trillion, there isn't space for all those people anymore. The only way humanity can continue is putting most of the people into a virtual world. Unfortunately, due to predatory pricing and hidden micropayments, keeping up with their subscription can be a problem for a lot of people. Bock is a mink, which is a problem because they're a closed species; and if he can't keep up with the monthly payments he might have to go offline. But maybe he can find a glitch in the system; a way to keep his body without paying out so much for it. What could possibly go wrong? TG/AR themes.
