"There are Pokémon that wish to do good...and there are those who desire harm. The line between the two is often blurred and sometimes, it is only by great sacrifice that one can ever truly see the difference." ༒︎༒︎༒︎ Six months have passed since the incident with Team Flare that left all of Lumoise City in disrepair. It hasn't been an easy journey, but the residents of the region have proven once again that they are stronger than their weaknesses. They have rebuilt and everything seems to be going right once more. Until one gym leader begins to have these...dreams. Dreams that aren't really dreams. Visions of a different time and a different life altogether. At about the same time, earthquakes begin to rip across the region, having no explainable source or epicenter. They appear to be caused by some kind of unnatural being. And this is all extraordinary timing for our heroes to converge on the city for a brief competition; featuring some of the greatest competitors from around the world. Naturally, that includes one particular trainer and performer. Now, armed with their friendship and very little knowledge of what they are up against, our group of heroic friends must journey into the heart of the conflict, put right one of the region's greatest mysteries, and maybe even save the world in the process. ༒︎༒︎༒︎ (This is a fanfiction based on Pokemon XYZ. Ya'll know the drill. I have no right to anything more than the two-ish pokemon I created back when I was 12. I also did not make the cover).

I've been deceived by the man I looked up to for almost my whole life; he was someone who I was inspired from, who I cared for deeply, the man I loved... or so I thought. He played me and my friends like a fiddle. Many lives were lost, people and Pokemon alike. Our world plunged in chaos and disarray... because this man's twisted mind and past lead up to this twisted event. That man used to be... my father. I didn't know any better... and I should've. But hey... the past is the past, and I can't change it; even if I wanted to. It's time we step up. It's time to fight with our bright golden flame against this shadowy dark flare. It's time to fight. Fire, against fire. (Note: this story will not be perfect. It may go through lots of editing and it is a way to practice my writing skills.)
