"I love you."
"No, you don't." She whispers, as a tear runs down her face.
I take a step closer and repeat, "I love you."
Furiously, she shakes her head. Wiping her emotionless face she stares me into my eyes. "You don't. You left me Dave. Do you remember that? Because as hard as I try-and I try so damn hard- you left me. You can't just say those stupid words and think it will be ok. You never cared."
"I'm sorry. I'm so fucking sorry." Closing the space between us, I hold her face, ignoring the fact that she flinches against my touch. She use to love it when I touched her face. "I wish I could go back. I wish I could make you forget everything terrible that I did, but I can't Emma. It's all in the past. What I know now is that everything in my shitty life has led me to you. My choices, my regrets, everything. When I am with you everything shitty that ever happened seems worth it." Her eyes widen, and she tries to pull away but I keep holding. "Because if I did one thing differently, maybe I wouldn't have met you, and I don't know what kind of world that would be."

Remi has always loved the forest, the different sounds, smells, the way she could get lost in it and never have to go home to her non-existent parents. She goes in and out of her life with her best friend everyday just waiting until they're both old enough to leave their small boring town. But one day Remi is attacked, and nearly killed, by a man in the forest. When she wakes up everything's different. She feels something inside her, a power, but she has no idea what happened to her. All she remembers is the man's strange yellow eyes. When three new boys show up at her school, one with yellow eyes, asking her question she gets nervous. And then one night while heading to go get her friend she's taken and thrown into a world she didn't know existed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Remi?" Jen says suddenly. "Hmm?" I hum back. "Do you ever wish you could just live in the forest? Away from everyone and everything?" She looks at me. "Free." We stare at each other for a long time. I see the real meaning in Jen's eyes. Her worries for going home to her overly strict parents. Her fears for the future and the unknown in general. "If we lived in the forest we wouldn't have gummy bears any more." I comment to lighten the mood. She doesn't find it funny. "I'm serious Remi! What if we did run away?" "Jen, we can't just run away. I know your parents are strict but I truly think they just want what's best for you." She says nothing. For a moment I fear she's mad at me but then she puts her head on my shoulder and I know we're okay.

I'm begging you. I will never bother you and will stay in a corner but please don't throw me out of my house please Victor." She pleaded on her knees."where will I go. I have no one .please." "Oh." I will ruin you." His lips brushed against hers. "No, you won't. I trust you." She replied and captured his lips. They shared a heated Spider-Man-like upside-down kiss. All the while, Aaron's hand traveled to her inner thighs and then to her wet core. She is so excited and turned on by Aaron's dominance right now that she is dripping down there. "Fuck!!! You are drenched down there." Aaron said, leaving her lips and holding her neck with a little force. "You made me Aaron." She replied, holding his neck from behind in her already awkward position. "Stop it. I'm still warning you." He said that in a warning tone while pulling her into a straight position and nibbling on her neck. "Aahm." She moaned in the answer as Aaron was sucking her sweet spot. "There will be no turning back." He said this while traveling his hand from her neck to her right boob and palming it. His fingers, on the other hand, teased her over her dripping thong. "I know, and I'm accepting every consequence." She replied desperately. "But........" "FOR FUCKS SAKE, AARON. STOP IT AND FUCKING FUCK ME." She screamed, cutting him off because she was frustrated.

-- PROLOGUE "Let me get this straight. We have nothing in between us, except for the deal we made that day" he spoke in a monotonous tone. "I am the one carrying your name behind me; we are married. how can you say we have nothing in between us? Huh" She yelled at him, tears blurred her vision, and she spoke her heart to him. "For god's sake, this marriage was to save you! Can't you get that? I did not do it willingly, I do not love you!!" He yelled back at her, shattering her heart into pieces. "Why can't you just love me?" She spoke, as she cried the tears of hurt, and pain. Her heart thumped loudly due to the shivering sensation She felt all over her body. "I never made a commitment to you, or gave you any false hope, neither did i say that i love you. Did i?" He asked her, in a very cold tone. She looked at him through her teary eyes. It's getting difficult for her to even breathe. "It was your eyes, the damn eyes. Who gave me the false hope. They say, "Eyes speak the truth," but what about mine? Couldn't you feel the sincerity within them, expressing my deep affection for you? Why didn't you see the love shining in them? Was it too complex to understand? Couldn't you notice the warmth as they gazed at you? They search for you in every corner, If only you realized how they silently echoed the emotions I couldn't articulate. They say, "Eyes never deceive." But what about yours? They played a trick on me when they met mine, painting a facade of a world that wasn't real. They made me feel loved, Leading me into a belief that crumbled, louder than your spoken promises. Why did they betray me? Was it your eyes or you that masked the truth?" He stayed still, not moving or saying anything at her statement. --

"The fuck you are leaving me." His roar cracked through the hall like lightning. Ara didn't blink. She stood there, calm as death, done to her core. No tears. No tremble. Just a weary exhale as she turned her back on him - the one thing he never thought she'd do. Before she could take a step, his hand shot out, gripping her arm like he was holding on to life itself. "Where are you going, Ara!" His command shook the pack. But she wasn't his to command. Not anymore. Ara ripped her arm free with a force that made even his wolf recoil. "Don't. Touch. Me." Her aura slammed into him, cold and merciless. "You think I'll stand here and watch you mate and breed her?" she hissed, every word a dagger. His throat bobbed. "She meant nothing." She laughed - sharp, broken, brutal. "Yeah? That's why you were fucking her in your office? Couldn't even hide the scent of your betrayal." "Ara, it was a mistake-" She stepped closer, eyes blazing. "Your mistakes come in episodes, Alpha. Season one, season two, season three. You don't make mistakes. You make choices." He swallowed hard. "I don't need her. I need you." "Lies," she spat. "Every damn sentence you breathe is a lie. I can't even look at you without feeling sick." He flinched like her words physically hit him. "That female behind you?" she pointed, not bothering to glance. "Perfect for you. Go mark her. Breed her. Hell, fuck her for all I care." Her voice cracked - but she kept going, blade steady even when bleeding. "I don't need you. Not anymore." His knees crashed to the floor. The mighty Alpha. On the ground. For her. "Ara... I'm sorry. I'm really fucking sorry." His voice broke like he finally understood what loss tasted like. She stared at him with a sad, devastating smile. "Isn't it too late for that, Mate?" One tear escaped - and she crushed it away with her thumb. Then she turned. Walked. Didn't look back. But he didn't chase her. Because he knew. He didn't just lose her. He wrecked her.
