They are happy with their life and soon they have a son. They name him Hot shot. They love Hot shot very much. Hot shot is growing into a very happy and active child. He loves to run, jump, climb and play. He is now five years old. Hot shot soon begins to feel unwell in May. Hot shot is wondering why he is feeling so bad. He has a headache that won't go away, he is vomiting, he is tired, and he is cranky. He is feeling so bad one night his parents rush him to the ER of Cook Children's hospital. There Hot shot is admitted for being sick and was in a lot of pain. A hospitalist who is caring for Hot shot is worried and decides a scan is needed. The next morning she sends Hot shot to get an MRI. Then Hot shot is discovered to have a brain tumor. The brain tumor gets a biopsy sample. Then Hot shot is diagnosed with Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor or ATRT a type of brain cancer. Hot shot is ready to be brave and fight his cancer. He makes friends with seven other kids in the hospital with the same type of cancer. They become the best of friends and decide to fight their cancer together. Hot shot is a playful and active 5 year old. He lives with his dad Heatwave and mom Quickshadow. His father Heatwave is a firefighter, his mother Quickshadow is a stay at home mom. They all live in Fort Worth Texas. Hot shot loves to run, jump, climb and play. Hot shot wants to be a firefighter or a baseball player or a zookeeper who works with rhinos or something else. Hot shot is full of dreams and hopes. Hot shot is a very healthy child too. However in early May Hot shot starts to feel unwell. Hot shot has a headache that won't go away, he is vomiting, he was walking funny, he was having trouble with his eyes, he has a stiff neck and a head tilt. His parents are worried and they take him to his pediatrician. The doctor sends them to Cook Children's for an MRI. There Hot shot is diagnosed with a brain tumor. After a sample of the tumor is biopsied Hot shot is diagnosed with Medulloblastoma a type of brain cancer. Hot shot is brave and ready to face his cancer head on. Hot shot makes friends with four other kids his age with the same type of cancer. They decide to fight their cancer together and become the best of friends. Then Hot shot is diagnosed with Choroid Plexus Carcinoma a type of brain cancer. Hot shot is going to be brave and fight his cancer. Hot shot soon makes friends with four other kids his age in the hospital with the same type of cancer. They decide to fight their cancer together. Hot shot is determined to kick cancer's butt!
