Athena was running again. Sprinting through the jungle she used to call home. She could still hear them, chasing her. She wouldn't, no, couldn't let up. It would mean almost certain death.
Artemis doesn't remember anything about her past, only her name. She had one job only, and it was to go to the addresses sent by text through her burner phone, save the person from harm and leave for the next place assigned. She doesn't know who sends the texts, nor who sends the hits to the victims.
That was how she went by her day until she started to get hunted down, having the unfortunate luck of being in New York City at the same time as Captain America and Black Widow. She didn't have anything more interesting to do unless you counted stealing for a living and killing assholes for fun. So she gave being friends with heroes a try, choosing to see what's it like to be on the right side of the law.
