and that's the problem, isn't it? mikey privately thinks takemichi should learn to cut his losses at this point. sooner or later, he'll drag takemichi down to hell with him, even though takemichi is made of starlight and good and everything that mikey is not; he's made of darkness that claws at him, crawling up his throat and tainting what once was somewhat good.

in which mikey sees all his regrets one last time, and takemichi reminisces on what could have been at his grave.
