Princess Maxine's family suffered the heartbreak of her mother's kidnapping years ago, but it's in the past... or so they thought. There's more to her kidnapping than Maxine ever knew, and it's become painstakingly evident that she's next, especially after a pirate attack that led to her disappearance.
If only she knew why.
Among the confusion of being forced prisoner, no one dares speak a word to her of what Captain Avarice has planned, and her mother is a topic that none of the pirates would touch with a ten foot pole. It's agonizingly obvious that whatever Avarice has planned, it's far more terrible than anything Maxine would even consider.
Crossed between her desire to go home, and a growing appreciation for life on the sea, Maxine finds herself falling for two men at once, befriending the crew, and stuck in a rut where tensions grow high around the conflicts she faces. Amid danger and romance, Maxine's life is about to make a turn-for the worse or for the better?
