Retribution

Alex has always been the one who always wished she could be free, away from her father, the President. For years she lived under his roof remembering her dead mother and after a few rebellions she is able to be free with the assistance of her friend Nate Steel. After running away from the place where she is locked up, she meets Nicky Mohan a girl who in her own 'special' way is kind and loving and almost risks her life trying to save them. By talking to Nicky Mohan, Alex realizes how much she and Nicky share the same hate for the city she was in line to be ruler of, soon Nicky and Alex both have the same motivation, the destruction of the Liads. This book is in both perspectives of Nicky and Alex.
