Maeve had just recently recovered from a Depressing state in her life. She had just gotten another admission in another University after losing the first one . She wasn't ready for a Relationship but Josh's Persistence drove her into liking him so much.

Josh was complicated at first he didn't really like her enough for a Serious relationship but he was Perplexed by her Complexity .

They didn't believe they were in Love but had the urge to fight for it
