Is love truly a sin?

The ordinary world that she was born in was what greeted her everyday as she awoke to a new day.

Her life as dull as every other person living in earth, like yours, like mine.

The only thing that gave her life a lick of flavor was the school she attended, but even then, she had no one to call friends. Living alone and being alone even in such a social environment, she was used to this, in fact, she preferred it.

She never cried to the gods about having no one else in her life besides herself, such idea of a person willingly befriending her was nothing, but a dream.

But when a man entered her life, an odd transfer student, with hair as dark as the night sky, eyes color of vibrant blue that shines like an ocean touched by the sun, a man that showed what it means to be good, is when Pandora's box was opened, showing her a world beyond that of human knowledge.

Gifting her things none would've experienced and brightening up her once dull life.

But with good comes the bad, with beauty comes the ugly.

Faith will be shaken, trust will be tested. And wings, possibly blackened.

Yet it is up to them what path to take.

Will they be bounded by the laws of heaven and earth that keeps them apart? Or will they break free from the shackles which they are chained to?

Is love... Truly a sin?

In the beginning, there was death. The darkness flows from hues of purple and orange, the moon rising to kiss the sun's rays one last time as the darkest cloud of night I've ever seen falls over our tiny haven. I catch Will's face from the side of my vision and my heart tightens slightly. The tick of his jaw wouldn't be noticeable for anyone but me. His best friend, his lifeline. A solemn tear forms in my eye as he wipes his face, another tear falling for the family he lost. I love him. Utterly and desperately so, but, there's nothing I can do about that. The ultimate forbidden fruit, if you will. I reach to comfort him and he doesn't respond. I open my mouth to speak and he looks my way, but the gleam in his dark brown eyes hits the moonlight just right and I fall. My voice escapes my throat and I can't do it. I've tried for years to tell him. 10 years, actually. All this time, I hopelessly remained devoted to a ghost who had given the best of himself to a fiery red-head with a sassy personality and the body of a supermodel. For 10 years, I held to the desperate thought that maybe, just maybe, he'd be someone I could count on. Instead, I watched him marry my best friend, smiled as they welcomed their son. Stood, holding that beautiful boy as his mother was in the first round of executions after the beginning of the Revelation. Helped heal Will's wounds in the aftermath. Cried, clutching the tear-stained shirt of my best friend as his son took his last staggering breath in that first harsh winter. The guilt of my emotions crawl through me. My heart twisting in regret, guilt, desperation, and grief. I loved my best friend. She was so much more than that; she was my family. In this dystopian quick read, join a group of people desperate to recapture their freedom and end a tyrant's reign.

And reality hits her hard when she ends up gaining a little secret that could be deadly for not only her reputation, but for those around her who know as well. Will she be able to keep it to herself, or will life throw her deep into the moth of the wolves? *************************************** "Maac... please. Tell me you don't mean it. You can't mean it. You're my..." "I know! I know I am. You don't need to remind me." "Apparently I have to cause you're talking about something that is totally illegal. That could land you in prison. And I think that's the last thing you want." "I don't care what happens to me. I care about you. And you know that..." "But loving me isn't the answer," I shouted, tears staining my fair skin. Maac stepped away from the tree, closing the space between us. His hot breath was steaming against my forehead as he looked down at me with his brown eyes, sparkling in the moon's light. "Lemme prove that it is, Sel..." as he lowered his head, lightly placing his lips against mine. I had lost. But he made me not care. Cause I was starting to fall for the last person I should be loving... *************************************** Warning: none of what is in this book actually happened. This is a completely fictional book. DO NOT CALL THE POLICE. This was just an idea I got while sleeping: what if someone did date their high school teacher... and got away with it?

This is a StudentxTeacher novel!! Un·as·sail·a·ble Adjetive: unable to be attacked, questioned, or defeated. If I could categorize our relationship in one word, it'd be un·as·sail·a·ble. Of course due to the irony of the meaning itself. We were something dangerously unmoral, could we be questioned? Yes. Attacked? Of course. Defeated? Hell no. No one could break our magnetism. Our perfectly forbidden dalliance. It was exquisite, if you ask me. But every choice we make has its own repercussions, right? Doctor Vennberg is a thirty-three year old prestigious surgeon, being one of the greatest physicians there is. This year he tried doing something different and put a partial pause to his work at the hospital to teach at Cooley's university-one of the best colleges on science faculty. He's strict, arrogant, incredibly intelligent and annoyingly handsome. Now insert Amalia Knox, an eighteen year old adventurous, beautiful and immensely smart first year medicine student. What will happen when they cross paths? There's a million reasons why they shouldn't be together, but what if the desire is stronger? What happens when they find themselves in a one way road, not being able to turn back?
