That is, until, you open up your cozy flower shop next door.
Navigating love and life is hard enough, but with their new hometown in the deep end of a recession following the calamity of the Rumbling, fueding sides test their patience to stay put, and even their relationship. "You teach me how to fight, and I teach you how to steal. Together, we'll be invincible."
"Why are you trying so hard?" He carefully watched her.
She dryly swallowed before answering, "Because I want to get to the surface. I cannot die before I see it."
Maybe it was the inexperience of childhood, that long-forgotten innocence. Or maybe, he just wanted a friend.
Whatever it was, Levi took her hand. It was so warm, his palm tingled long after their hands separated.
"Nice to meet you, partner."
"Name's Levi."
"Levi," she drew back and hummed, his name rolling off her lips with so much ease, it almost unsettled him.
