Fifteen year old Lyndsey Parker has everything going right for her. A great horse, a spot on the Junior Eventing Olympic team and a perfect boyfriend. But when a devastating barn fire destroys the life she knew, everything changes. She must heal a broken body, broken trust and broken confidence to rise to the top again. With pressure from her team and the media to get back out and win rises, and she doesn't know if she can do it, was this a wake up call that she should hang up her helmet and vest for good?

My heart seemed to want to explode from my chest as it beat against my rib cage like a wild animal. I couldn't seem to be able to breathe as my entire body and mind seemed to be in a state of complete and utter shock. It was as if time had suddenly frozen around me and my body had yet to catch up to present time. The scene that lay before me seemed like something out of a movie, or my dreams...make that my worst nightmare. I stood looking at once was the barn, my family and my home. Sparks cracked and sparked in every direction, smoke filled the air with its rancid sting and the wild fire roared as if it were alive from inside of the barn. Horses screamed in agony into the dark of night as I stood stunned too mortified to move from where I stood.

A broken prodigy. 17 year old Olive Bennett wishes for nothing more than to wash away the dark memories that haunt her day and night. Moving to Wilson Creek was supposed to do that. But nothing brings the dread back more than her crippled leg, and the horse she hides from herself and everyone else. Helping her father earn desperately needed money, Ollie picks up a job at the local stables, a pristine english riding centre home to stuck up girls and beautiful horses that have never been loved. And it's getting hard to ignore her feelings when Gus, an arrogant, annoying yet gorgeous stablehand is thrown into the mix, his one mission - to break down Ollie's walls. Then, without even realising it, Ollie soon finds herself teaching Wilson Creek Stables her ways of horsemanship - the western art of creating bonds and being kind. Can they help her heal with her own broken horse? 'This book is legendary! It's truly compelling and brought me back time and time again. The characters are so easy to fall head over heels with, and the storyline is a complete bomb. I would recommend this ripper of a book to anyone and it should really be published by now.' - @Ruby_Splash. The first half of Kaylin Podmore's sophomore year of high school was pretty intense for someone who usually tries to keep away from the drama. It seemed like almost every day she spent her day fighting with someone, whether it was between her parents and her older sister Kimberly, her now ex-best friend, Grace Barnes, when they would mainly fight about or with Carson Hall and of course, Nichole Young, her boyfriend, Lucas Micthell's, ex-girlfriend. Now, it's the last month of the school year and the summer meets for Thoroughbred horse racing are kicking off, mainly focused on the elusive Triple Crown series which Faith's Magic, Kaylin's favorite filly, has been campaigning heavily for since the fall meets. Kaylin and Lucas are also going to be celebrating their one-year anniversary, which brings a whole new set of boundaries for the two of them to navigate with not only each other, but even their friends. The two of them spend their summer with their friends and family mostly up north in New York for horse races and celebrating multiple birthdays. They also spend time strengthening their relationship in more ways than one and having uncomfortable, but necessary conversations with friends and family about the changes in their relationship. As the summer break comes to an end, the drama from last year comes back around, the group prepares to see what the next school year will bring, as it's their time to buckle down to start figuring out what they want now that they're officially high school juniors and seniors.

Fifteen-year-old Kaylin Podmore has a pretty great life, basically everything a teenager living in Lexington, Kentucky could ever dream of. Her parents own one of the most successful Thoroughbred racehorse operations in the country and she has three of the best friends any girl could have, especially as her freshman year of high school starts to come to an end. She catches the eye of Lucas Mitchell, a sophomore starting quarterback for her school's varsity football team. As they learn about one another and grow closer, a potential serious relationship starts to grow between them, but her ex-boyfriend Jesse Landford, her older sister Kimberly and Lucas's ex-girlfriend, Nichole Young, are determined to try to keep them from getting together for different reasons. Kaylin knows Nichole is a stuck up spoiled rich girl, and she doesn't believe a word that Nichole says about her and Lucas, but her sister's another story. She and Kim know their dad isn't exactly keen on either of his daughters dating so it causes problems in-between them after Kim shares the news with their dad about her and Lucas's budding relationship. Other than their friends, the only people who seem to like the idea of Kaylin and Lucas potentially getting together are her mom and his family, who're all being supportive because they know each other from their kids going to school together and being in the same business, even if they're competitors. Her mom often has to settle disputes in-between her and her dad but that doesn't mean her dad is going to stop being negative about Kaylin's growing relationship with Lucas. Kaylin is set on finishing out the year, hopefully with Lucas as her boyfriend despite the trouble it is causing in her life to have a great summer with her friends and watching her favorite horse, Faith's Magic, start her racing career.

Eve believes she'll never meet a decent person who could look past her wealth, someone she could maybe call a friend. ...Then she meets Ashleigh Ashleigh Sutton is Eves polar opposite. Rocked by her parents' crippling divorce, the only thing Ashleigh seems to have left in her life is her love of horses and a passion for riding. Worse, Ashleigh has learned that the people she thought were her friends were really only being her friends out of pity. Ashleigh feels as if there is nobody in the world who can look past her less than desirable home situation and be a true friend. ...Then she get's a job at Eves stable. Working all summer in exchange for riding lessons and showing opportunities seemed like a dream come true for Ashleigh and having a group of people her age with the same love for horses seemed perfect for Eve.
