As I closed the door and turned around, the thing I feared was before me. Alex was already there standing with her arms crossed over her chest. "A-Alex I can ex-explain" I say stumbling on my words. "I don't need an explanation, honey." Alex says placing her palm on my cheek. I was confused with the sudden change in her behaviour, and within half a second, the hand placed on my cheek backhands a hard slap across my cheekbone, knocking me off my feet. "You come back 6:30 in the evening? Is this when you are supposed to be home?!" she yells at me. And within a few seconds all I knew was that I was being throw across the room.
