"We're nothing but expendables."
Thick smoke laced the once-crisp air. The azure flames approached, its heat rushing to incinerate everything within its reach. I was going to die, without fulfilling my purpose.

And, I would never accept that.

Years of perfecting something that was beyond broken had been nothing but a waste.
I understood- at first, that I was at their disposal; an expendable that could be easily replaced. However, years fabricated a foolish fantasy to a hopeful, fierce flame that soon engulfed the dark with light. It was as if kerosene flowed through my veins, the cerulean toxin igniting every fiber in my body. It gave me a rush I've longed to experience once more.

"Then so be it, but I'm not giving in until I kill that bastard."

He let out a breathy chuckle.

"Then let's dance, princess."
