Footsteps (A Thorin Oakenshield Fanfic)

Emariya has a secret. She can become invisible, and see anyone who is invisible. She finds herself helping the soon-to-be Dwarf King, Thorin Oakenshield after she sees Bilbo Baggins become invisible as well when she was sneaking wine from the Mirkwood wine cellar. Emariya also happens to be a half elf, half dwarf. She has the height, stubbornness, and muscles of a dwarf, and the grace and beauty of an elf. Both races hate her, but the dwarves accept her into the group because it's pretty clear that she isn't going anywhere. She recognizes Thorin from her childhood. Emariya ends up falling in love with Thorin, but being part elf neither races would approve of it. Thorin might be hiding some feelings as well...
