Two years have passed since the Reach were defeated by The Team. Nick Russell, known as the hero, Red Wizard, as well as the New God, Phoenix, is now engaged to Zatanna Zatara. Nick has discovered that the Light has been working the force of Apokolips. A lot has changed over the last two years. Nick has taken a leave of absence from the Team to mourn the deaths of Ted Grant, Wesley Dodds, and Alan Scott. He has also left the Team to help Artemis recover from Wally's death.  A new threat will draw Nick back into the hero life. Now Nick, along with a new Team, will have to face the Light and the forces of Apokolips, who are working together to kidnap children and teens, to activate the Meta-Gene, then traffick them both on Earth, and throughout the galaxy. Nick will also help train a new Team as they try to find a kidnapped princess. He will face both old and new enemies. And will also have to discover his connection to a girl, who seems to have some interesting abilities. Nick, the Team, and the League are Earth's only hope against the Light and the forces of Apokolips.
I do not own Young Justice. They are owned by DC.
This is my third story in the series.
Warning: There will be sex, swearing, and violence in this story.

Nick ends up helping to create the Team. And along the way, he will have to deal with villains that are after him. Nick will also have to deal with his feelings for childhood friend, Zatanna Zatara. He will also discover a 14 year old secret about himself, which will change his life forever.

The silence seemed to make my voice feel smaller than it was, so when I finally heard his footsteps again, it shocked me to hear how loud and distinctive each one was, as if the silence broke just for him. "Hey!" Someone yelled, and we all stopped, turning to the voice which belonged to the girl I saw earlier, with the exception of Batman who took the opportunity to launch the nearest man to him across the bridge into the railing, where he slumped to the ground. The Joker was first surprised and then amused. "A new toy!" He squealed with delight. He walked closer towards her, having forgotten me giving me the opportunity to peel my right arm out, giving me a better angle to see and defend myself. While the Joker wasn't terrifying to look at, honestly, he was fairly unassuming, with the exception of the weapon and the deranged smile and look in his eye, but I had seen many people with a similar expression, he had a very off-putting aura around him. She seemed entirely unbothered as he lurked towards her. Then she did one of the stupidest things I have ever seen in my life. She climbed up the railing and jumped off, to the roaring, dark, cold water that was at least 20 feet below us. When the Young Justice team is introduced to a new member they are all somewhat uncertain of her, along with the Justice League. With powers unlike they've ever seen before and hailing from a different planet they are not sure what to think of her. She seems to be hiding something and Batman seems to know something about it. Young Justice Fan-Fic Working on revisions as August 5, 2025, this book needs a serious face lift.

They had all taken to looking her up themselves since it was just that easy. "Sounds like a plan, but we shouldn't go quite yet. We need to be careful, so the League doesn't catch on." Robin said, to which they all nodded in agreement. They all retreated back into the mountain and went to either the Zeta tubes or their rooms, depending on where they resided.
