It's the end of 2012 in Tokyo. The seven Kings are unaware they'll be chosen as Masters for the Third Tokyo Holy Grail War, a series of fights to the death for the omnipotent wish-granting chalice known as the Holy Grail. Just a standard battle royale.
...At least it should've been that simple. But it's later discovered that an entity grows in the Holy Grail. If anyone wins this entity will get free and cause all of humanity to go extinct. Unfortunately this isn't the only issue plaguing them and it all becomes a race against time.
