King Von was a young artist with many struggles; writing his life down on paper with ink. No one could tell his testimony except him and that's exactly what he did as a rapper and storyteller. But he was more than a Chicago artist. He was a black man and a father, in a world filled with millions of other black men and fathers and artists, and yet he was unique. No one wanted to see a young artist that had so much talent and passion leave this earth and it shook his family, community and fans when news broke of his untimely death. For King Von, he was no different than those still in the trap, trying to keep his head up in the streets and live outside of the bullshit that seemed to follow. He only took that pain and spoke it aloud for many ears to hear. He was a living legend and even through death, his words will continue to flow through many peoples minds for generations to come.
