WATTYS 2022 SHORTLIST

(ERA Series Book 3)-COMPLETED

A careless, rebellious daughter faces punishment from her father. She must survive the everyday routine of a department store staff and deal with her growing pains during the mid-1980s.

***

Set in the nostalgic year of 1985, Anna Diana "Andie" Miranda is known for her rebellious and party-going ways. Her eighteenth summer started with a gift of punishment from her wealthy and strict father, a part-time job at their family department store. This was the consequence she faced after partying late at night without the old man's permission.

Andie's world was shaken the moment she stepped foot inside the pristine halls of Luxuriant Department Store. Dealing with people outside her league and learning the ups and downs of employee life were just some of the challenges she had to face. Aside from trying to prove herself worthy of her father's trust, another dilemma added to the picture. Benjamin "Ben" Robles, her fellow staff member, never failed to stir her up and cause her distress.

But after she rode behind him on his motorcycle to bring her home on a Saturday night, her heart raced faster than the speed of Ben's big bad bike. Together with their love for the teen actress Julie Vega's songs, this smart-mouth troublemaker filled Andie's days and nights longing for his presence, and hopefully, a souvenir of his love.

Warning: This story deals with mature themes not intended for younger readers. Proceed with caution.
