Malaya feels that in order to have a full future, she must find her past. In doing so, she also discovers how love transcends time.

***

Soft-hearted Malaya had never really tasted true freedom. She considers herself tied down by her financial instability and needing two jobs just to get by every week. If she didn't have her Aunt Aggie and her son, she would have no one.

Family was another matter. Malaya always wished to find her nearest family. With Aunt Aggie's encouragement, she decides to look for them. However, her investigation to track them down is halted when a young man pushed himself into her way and spoke of ridiculous, impossible things.

Thomas was tired of being told what to do and what not to do. He was also scared of the burden that was suddenly thrust upon his shoulders because of his older brother's fickleness. Now a runaway, he finds himself a job that didn't make sense but paid handsomely.

All he had to do was to look for someone - anyone - that can pretend to be someone else, then he can finally take steps toward being a biologist on his own. But he didn't know that he would find someone who was worth more than his scientific dreams.
