We all know the classic 'Hiccup runs away cuz of neglect and stuff and returns five years later as a super mysterious and powerful warrior' story in this fandom.
This stories a bit different. First off, when he runs away he doesnt stay away long. Less than a year in fact. Secondly Hiccup's more... unhinged, desperate, than most. Not in the 'oh no he killed almost the whole tribe and now astrid and the gang have to rebuild' unhinged, but in his desperation he begins to tear apart his former tribe from the inside using doubts and uncertaintys.
Oh... and he somewhat dead, did i mention that?

Renegade (a HTTYD runaway story)
Complete!!! Hiccup was always a nuisance to the vikings on Berk. He was viewed as a runt, a shame, and a screw up. That all changed when he became the top of dragon training, and finally gets the chance everyone thought he only dreamed of. To kill a dragon in front of the entire village. Stoick was proud of his son, he had almost lost hope in him. Now, he proved everyone wrong, or so they thought. Hiccup wanted nothing more than to have this chance his entire life! However, that was before he met and bonded with Toothless, a night fury he had shot down weeks ago. Now, he wanted to escape, but not without attempting to convince the vikings that dragons weren't the real threat. He thought his monstrous nightmare match would be the perfect setting for such a feat. When things go sideways, when Toothless saves Hiccup, he has a choice, stay and try one last shot of convincing Berk, or flee with his best friend. He chooses the best option, he flees. Now, he is branded as a trator, a renegade. Stoick practically disowns him and he is never heard from again. five years later, Berk hears mighty tales of a grand hero who rides a night fury. Many call him 'Night Rider', 'Dragon Tamer', and 'Mysterious Rider'. Many doubted that this hero could be their traitorous ex heir to the Berkian leadership. After all, he was described as having a prosthetic leg, very tall, confident, and extremely buffed, while Hiccup was the opposite of all these descriptions. But... why then, has this new hero never visited Berk? And what will happen when he finally dose? Feel free to comment! I will also edit things I want everything to be amazing. Its where Hiccup runaway from berk with Toothless fearing no one cares what he told them but before running away Astrid caught him and showed her the truth of the dragons. After that Astrid wants to go with him but Hiccup rejects her but they made a promise that he will tell her about his whereabouts. Its a story where Hiccup create a Kingdom with Dragons and Vikings where they live together in harmony. Let me tell you I took some points and tips from here and there in wattpad and Fanfiction stories of HTTYD Runaway and Runaways. GUYS ITS MY FIRST STORY I HOPE YOU WILL LIKE IT.

A Runaways Resolve, A Dragon Master's Legacy
You have likely seen it all before, Hiccup gets chosen to kill the Monstrous Nightmare but instead of staying to try and prove to his village dragons aren't the monsters they think they are, he leaves. Abandons the world he knows for a world of possibility, a world where he can be him, be free. What if he is one day discovered by a group of dragon riders and chose to join them as they had adventure after adventure. It would be a good life but of course it would never stay so happy, things would change sometimes for the better sometimes for worse. Old scars would surface, old lives reappear and new faces vanish, how would this affect him. Well shall we find out? I don't own the How To Train Your Dragon franchise of course and this is all done for fun. You know the legal stuff. I also don't own the image, I got it off of google as one could expect. For now the story isn't Mature though this may change in the future as I continue so I will make sure to change that if it becomes necessary, just an early warning just in case I break a guideline.

Yes, it's another one of these but I really wanted to do another one and hopefully better than the other one. "What if we left for good?" "What do you mean?" Hiccup was planning to run away but now that Astrid knows his secret, he doesn't know what to do. Then Astrid comes up with a crazy idea that might just save them. They leave for good. Or that's what they thought. 7 years later, Hiccup and Toothless along with Astrid and Stormfly crash land on berk and chaos ensues and probably the greatest threat they would ever have to face. You obey your master, servant." Hiccup Haddock the third, the son of Stoick the Vast, was taken away from his father when he was five years old. For twelve years of his life, he was forced to live with Viggo who works with a group of Outcasts all of which serve a much greater power. Viggo hated the child and took him only to get revenge on Stoick the Vast. He abused the boy, beating him almost to death multiple times, marking him with what he called ownership. Now, he's eighteen years old whose desperate to live his life. With so many people after him, his father forces Hiccup to stay on Berk until he finds a man whom he refuses to talk about. Hiccup begins to suffer from night terrors that make him want to stay along with battling his own mental condition. Things go south again when an unexpected traitor hands Hiccup over to the ones who want to destroy him mentally and physically. Meanwhile back at Berk, Stoick was furious rampaging through his house looking over numerous different maps. He was desperate to find his son. So desperate he would do anything to get him back. Little does he know, that not only the mysterious kidnapper is overly skilled, but also an old friend whom Stoick was best friends with for years.Concluida
