Life had never been easy for Siddhartha Basu. He had always had a strong apathy towards his ruined blood which carried memories of prostitution and dangerous addiction. 

Since teenage, he had felt a sense of void and living in a dysfunctional family didn't quite help. What happens when the hope of finding something out there which can fill up the emptiness inside, is destroyed and turns you into a monster who feeds off yourself and the one whom you may consider to be dear?

She is under no illusion that she truly is alone in this world and has no one she can depend on. She struggles with a fragile mental health and anxiety because of which she is under medication. She is a student and tries to put up a strong exterior with an 'I-give-a-fuck' attitude but in reality is vulnerable and subconsciously looking for love, security and acceptance. She is spiritual but not religious. However, she never shies away from her identity as a young progressive Muslim woman. Her adoptive family is also a rich upper class business family and acquaintances of the Shuklas. Circumstances bring Sidharth and Shehnaaz together creating an explosion in each other's lives.
